Grange Hill
One of the best kids TV shows of it's time?

I think so. Just recently started watching them all again on YouTube and the memories came flooding back.

For me the best era was around 1983-1990 which included favourites such as Zammo, Benny, Tucker, Gripper, Rooooolaaaand and so on not to mention the likes of McCluskey, Bullet Baxter and Scruffy McGuffy

I think the episode most remember is Zammo's drug storyline however my personal favourite was the Chessington trip (its on YT if you want to watch it)

If Iremember rightly the series switched from being a London comp and went to Liverpool which ruined the whole concept of the show.

I used to work in Goswell Road in the mid 80's Alan (fat bloke) Humphrey,s was out of a council estate from there going up towards old street/Angel we used to rinse the piss out of him on our lunch breaks eventually got to know him turned out to be a right nice bloke and a funny fucker.
Remember seeing zammo at Arsenal away I think it was before the game with the smoke bomb.
Grange Hill in the early days was the bollocks.
